Canton City Ballet
Enriching the lives of the artist and the audience
through the power of dance
| Mission & Philosophy
We aim to serve our community through the power of dance. We strive to bring living art experiences to our region and create excitement while reaching new audiences. Ballet is a vital voice in the overall artistic conversation of our community and is essential to helping us grow more vibrant, more diverse, and more inspired.
The dialogue that exists between the artist and audience at an in-person dance performance is at once both intensely personal and universally impactful. Our goal is to fulfill the needs of the artist and audience with beloved classics, innovative new works, and excellence. We desire to remove barriers to the art form and be visible in areas that have not had access to concert dance experiences. Casting our net, we continually look for new ways to educate, train, and inspire.
We value collaboration with other creative artists. We believe that humanity is artistic by nature, and that everyone experiences and receives art differently. As such, we are eager to connect with our community in new and thoughtful ways. Audiences crave multidisciplinary art experiences, and we are excited to facilitate these experiences and create with our artistic peers.

| Emerging Artists
Our Emerging Artist Training Program is for the aspiring professional dancer. This program is by invitation only, and artists are selected from our conservatory. Students are 14-19 years of age and train 25-30 hours per week. Dancers work closely with resident and guest faculty to further their personal artistic and technical growth, while beginning to hone their own creative voices.
